POLISH MILITARY HOSPITAL  No 1 TAYMOUTH CASTLE PERTHSHIRE

 

During WW 2 Taymouth Castle in Perthshire became hospital no. 1 for Polish Officers

Alicja Krygier, worked in the hospital, 

 

Situated in the beautiful Scottish Highlands in Perthshire Taymouth Castle  was requisitioned by the Government during the Second World War and was used as a convalescent home for Polish soldiers.  After the war the Authorities turned it into a headquarters for Civil Defence Training in Scotland. For a short period it was used as a school for the children of American servicemen
